Tips
1. After you receive the keys, it is essential that you visit a locksmith in your vicinity to have your key programmed and paired with your vehicle before using it.
2. If your smart key is still not working after replacing the batteries, check to see if your car is not detecting your smart key. Each vehicle has different ways in which you can check this. Some only require you to hold your key up to the car's ignition where an error message will display on the car's dash, but others require more steps to determine the issue. If you're having issues troubleshooting your smart key or have determined the key is not transmitting your signal, then the best option is to call a skilled locksmith who can diagnose and fix the problem.
3. If the vehicle is equipped with keyless entry, the key fob has a button on the side for removing the key. This key is for the driver's door and glove box. The key can be removed with the push of a button. Never remove the key without pressing the button. If a replacement key or additional keys are required, please contact your local dealer. If turning the key becomes difficult, check the key blade for debris. Clean regularly with a brush or pick.
4. The ignition key and key rings, and RKE transmitter, if equipped, are designed to work together as a system to reduce the risk of unintentionally moving the key out of the RUN position. The ignition key has a small hole to allow attachment of the provided key ring. It is important that any replacement ignition keys have a small hole.
