Tips
1. Chip anti-theft (duplicate key)
The Fiat key must be reset when the following conditions occur:
Note: Every vehicle comes with a red master key.
When the ignition switch is in the "OFF" position, the anti-theft system works;
The chip anti-theft indicator light is always on, indicating that the key code cannot be confirmed;
There is a system failure, the key code cannot be confirmed, and the MIL indicator light is on.
2. Resetting method (early models)
All keys require resetting;
Insert the master key into the ignition switch;
Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position;
When the chip anti-theft indicator light goes out, the ignition switch must be placed in the "OFF" position;
Perform the following operations within 10 seconds:
Remove the master key;
Insert the first key that needs to be reset (remote control setting) into the ignition switch;
Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
When the chip anti-theft indicator light goes out, turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position;
Take out the 1st key;
Insert the second key that needs to be reset (remote control setting) into the ignition switch;
Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
When the chip anti-theft indicator light goes out, turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position;
Quickly repeat the above steps to set other keys;
Take out the 1st key;
After setting the last key, perform the following operations within 10 seconds:
Take out the last key;
Insert the master key into the ignition switch;
Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
When the chip anti-theft indicator light goes out, turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position;
Remove the master key.
Note: Up to 7 keys can be set through the master key.
