Introduction to 3C digital key specifications:
CCC (Car Connectivity Consortium) is a global cross-industry organization dedicated to developing standards for smartphone-to-car connectivity solutions. In July 2021, CCC defined UWB as the core technology of the third-generation digital key and released the CCC R3 (third-generation digital key) specification.
CCC R3 is based on the use of NFC/BLE/UWB as the basic radio technology. The system uses asymmetric cryptography technology to perform mutual signature authentication on vehicles and devices, and only displays the identity of known vehicles, and only uses the public key stored in the vehicle. Only with the corresponding private key signature calculation can the vehicle perform functions such as unlocking and starting the engine. R3 is compatible with R2 (second-generation digital key), and R1 (first-generation digital key) is deployed independently of R2 and R3.
