Tips

1. Before use the smart key, make arrangements to program the key at a car locksmith situated in your vicinity.

2. If your current remote bears resemblance, it will be suitable. In case of uncertainty, it is advisable to seek assistance from your local dealer for confirmation.

3. Remote start key: For vehicles equipped with this feature, press and release the lock key, then immediately hold the remote start key for at least four seconds to start the engine from outside the vehicle using the remote key.

4. Trunk opening and closing button: Press twice quickly to open or close the liftgate.

5. Programming Keys

Follow these procedures to program up to eight keys to the vehicle.

Programming with Two Recognized Keys

To program a new key:

• Insert the original, already programmed key in the ignition and turn the ignition on.
  

• Turn the ignition off, and remove the key.
  

• Quickly, within five seconds, insert the second original already programmed key in the ignition and turn the ignition on.
  

• Turn the ignition off, and remove the key.Insert the key to be programmed and turn the ignition on within five seconds.
  

• After a few seconds, the security light will turn off once the key has been programmed.
  

• Repeat Steps 1–5 if additional keys are to be programmed.
  

• If a key is lost or damaged, see your dealer to have a new key made.
