To cancel remote start, you can do any of the following:

• Aim the remote control key at the vehicle and press and hold the remote start button until the position light goes out;

• Turn on hazard warning flashers;

• Start the vehicle and then turn it off.

When remote start doesn't work:

• The remote start feature will not work if any of the following conditions exist:

• The ignition switch is not in the off position;

• The remote key is in the car;

• The engine hood is not closed;

• The hazard warning flashers light up;

• Failure of the emission control system;
  

• Engine coolant temperature is too high;
  

• Low oil pressure;
  

• The vehicle remote start has been used twice;
  

• The vehicle is not in P (park) position.
